AJITER-Youth Association of Terceira Island participated on the 7th and 8th of September, on the island of Lemnos, in Greece, in the meeting that marked the start of the European project in the field of the blue economy “COASTALPRO” of which it is a partner.

Funded by the European Commission under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF-2023-BlueCareers), the project's main objectives include creating state-of-the-art learning tools, offering training and support courses of the highest quality, as well as the development of an innovative skills framework in the area of ​​coastal tourism.

The consortium promoting the project is made up of several entities in the academic, business and associative fields, being coordinated by Surf Club Keros, which is an example of a project to boost the coastal economy, by bringing together a product that includes diverse training in sports. nautical services as well as hotel services, located in the bay of Keros on the aforementioned island of Lemnos.
