Young people from Terceira Island participate in the 'Youth Union' project in Estonia

Between the 5th and 12th of this September, four young people from Terceira Island and a leader participated in the 'Youth Union: Building Bridges in the EU Erasmus + Youth Exchange' project in Tammispea, on the outskirts of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, as part of the well-known Erasmus+ program that AJITER has been promoting on Terceira Island.

Carolina Costa, Mariana Morais, Leonor Raimundo, João Miranda, and Raquel Bilro traveled to this Baltic capital, where they engaged in various educational and informative activities aimed at increasing young people's knowledge and interest in European political issues. The goal was to ensure that future generations do not feel disconnected from European politics and understand the importance of supranational political processes in their daily lives, as well as grasp basic values and concepts associated with it.

In total, the project brought together around 25 young people from Estonia, Spain, Turkey, and Portugal, and, as is characteristic of Erasmus+ projects, it featured a strong intercultural component.
Since 2012, AJITER – Associação Juvenil da Ilha Terceira has been strongly committed to promoting the Erasmus+ program on Terceira Island and in the Azores in general, providing young people with such mobility experiences aimed at learning.

Additionally, AJITER is also part of the European network 'EURODESK,' offering information and opportunities to young people in these areas through its facilities.
With over 20 years of working for the youth, AJITER will continue its efforts as it has done so far.
