AJITER received a visit from an Italian group with tourism in the background

It was between the 23rd and 30th of January that AJITER received, on the island of Terceira, a group of five Italians as part of a project financed by the European Erasmus+ program with which it usually works, and which focuses on initiatives regarding mobility and learning. for young people and youth coaches.
The project focused on circular economy and tourism was formally titled “Competence Development on Circular Economy and Regenerative Tourism”, Development of Competencies in Circular Economy and Regenerative Tourism, in the Portuguese translation.
The program completed, in addition to natural contact with the historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage of Terceira Island, focused on contact with good practices in terms of tourism projects in the area circular economy and regenerative tourism.
Projects such as “Banana Eco Camp”, “Quinta do Abacate”, “Azores Book Hotel” were visited and a visit to the “Startup Angra” business incubator to get in touch with entrepreneurship projects around tourist entertainment.
Youth, sustainability and development of Terceira Island are key words that guide all the work of AJITER – Terceira Island Youth Association.
The initiative was funded by the Italian National Agency for the Erasmus+ program with the code 2023-1-IT02-KA122-ADU-000134428 and resulted from a partnership between AJITER and the Italian organization “Mine Vaganti NGO”.
