ERASMUS+: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THE OUTERMOST REGIONS
Between 18 and 20 March 2025, Funchal hosted the conference "Erasmus+: Priorities and Opportunities in the Outermost Regions and Overseas Territories", bringing together experts and education professionals to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of these regions.
AJITER, at the invitation of the City Hall of Angra do Heroísmo and the National Agency for this program, took place represented by Ana Ávila, who is a member of our Board of Directors.
Inclusion, diversity and equity were at the center of discussions, along with topics such as environmental sustainability, the Blue Economy and strategies to reduce barriers to mobility.
The event, organized by the National Agency in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Education of Madeira, was also an opportunity to strengthen collaboration networks, promoting the exchange of experiences and the development of new Erasmus+ projects.
Aimed at leaders, teachers and experts from the Outermost Regions, it reinforced the commitment to more accessible, sustainable and innovative education, creating opportunities for a more constructive and collaborative future between National Agencies and institutions in these regions.
For May, this time in the Azores, in Angra do Heroísmo, another initiative by the National Erasmus+ Education and Training Agency (ANE+EF) is scheduled, namely, the "Bridge between islands" project.
